The list makes sense. And Car companies organize their features in such a way that for important feature we have to invest in useless features as well! This maximises their profit.

I have a small sunroof that came by default. I use to open the sunroof for few minutes after the car is parked in the hot sun. That helps the AC to cool down the interior faster. Many people will tell that opening windows will do the same thing. Yes, but opening sunroof does the thing faster as hot air escapes through the top faster. However, sunroof is still a useless feature.
This is one of the most important videos made by your channel. Thank you, hope people understand the significance of what are more important features while buying a car
Great list brither. Thanks 👍 Additionally, Auto lock when the car comes in motion is very handy. Auto central lock after 5 minutes of inactivity is important as it lets you feel safe if you've forgotten locking your car. Hill descent control does a great job and is always good to have.
Few more things that can be covered .. * Alloy vs Steel rims * Electronic vs Manual parking brake (handbrake) * All disc vs Disc+Drum brakes * Tyre size (narrow lower variant, good size, showoff size with large rims) * Rear parking camera + sensors * Height adjustable seats / seat-belts
Manual AC bhi temprature control karta hai, isiliye red and blue dial hota hai, aap jitna red ki side dial karoge utna heater chalega. Automatic me bas temperature digital display me set hota hai. Agar ac me thand lage to dial ko blue ki taraf ghumao aur garm ac ki hava chalegi. So manual is also at par with digital. Haan zone alag karne ka feature top end me milta hai. Aur ek baat, barish me windscreen par fog jamta hai, to 3 curved up arrow pe direct kar ne se windscreen pe sir divert hogi jo fog hata degi. Waha bhi aap temprature control kar sakte hai red blue dial se. Shayad ye sift maruti base model me heater nahi hota.

Sunroof is actually a god gift for people like me with motion sickness. I always use it to let in more light and to eliminate claustrophoia. Also I use it during nature trails to view the jungles. I use it to view moon or bright skies while lying down on my seat during travel. All these experiences are not really quantifiable but are awesome and add a lot of value to your travel. I'm glad that I chose a Panaromic sunroof!!! Car youtubers never discuss about all this. They just think sunroof is only to let in "sunlight"...

Being a MG customer i m totally satisfied with the car, About infonmaint system , ac temp ,fan speed everything can be controllled just by voice command ,no need to use any switch or touch screen ,which works and helps all the time And about cruiss ,adaptive cruise is working awesome as well in traffic brakes accelerators all working awesome ,just hold steering , nothing else So i dont think voice command control of AC and other car features is a gimmick and having a big screen for maps helps a lot (with android auto or mg maps) both works awesome ❤
Really appreciate this list. And I agree with most points, but the problem is the lack of choice. For a most cars there is no option but to take a sunroof.
I have ordered Hyundai Exter SX(O) Connect AMT. Sunroof is non-optional, but if I could eliminate it and save some money, I would definitely go for that. It includes - TPMS, OEM installed dashcam, 2x adjustable rear headrests, ESC, hill-hold assist and quite a few things I feel are necessary for a new driver like myself.
Problem is brands don't have much to differentiate so they bank on gimmicky features for sales. This is especially true for Chinese, indian and Korean car makers as they don't have legacy in any particular category. The same reason why they designed their cars very weird with lot of unnecessary eye catching elements.

Very nice comprehensive video. Request sensors on door handles for keyless entry atleast on driver+codriver+boot doors (ex: Maruti XL6) 9. If seats have electronic adjustment then it should have atleast 2 memory settings (which should also consider ORVMs & IRVM positions) 10. Boot (& engine bay) lights 11. Projector based headlights 12. Halogen over LEDs esp for foglamps 13. If headlights/etc are LEDs then inside lights should also be LEDs

One thing I would like to say about sunroof is that when you only open the cover, it gives a very nice gentle ambience around the interior of the car. That itself makes oneself a bit refreshing. But yes other than that its not much of use. So if possible I would prefer a car with a small sunroof panel with just the cover opening with fixed glass.

Key long press lock, which automatically rolls up the windows is perhaps the most useful feature, and sadly it's not present these days in less than 30 lakh cars. Earlier it used to come in VW Skoda cars like Polo, Rapid, etc. It is so important that on stepping out of the car, you just need to long press lock to roll up all the windows even if you have forgot to do so. VW Skoda has the most practical features, but sadly RUclipsrs won;t ever highlight that.
3:01 - Wrong analysis by you , I use the headsup display in my Brezza and believe me , it is drive changing for a car owner who uses a HUD display , you say "the info is also shown in infotainment" 😂😂 Cant tell if you're joking or what but if you actually drive cars , looking at infotainment for a few seconds is risky in Indian roads as people can turn , brake , merge anytime , anywhere. Whereas my HUD display is a feature that at first I thought was cool , but now it is more than helpful as it is connected to Android Auto and everything on Speedometer + Infotainment + more like AC controls are shown there , so to turn the AC up and down , you can see the exact temperature and fan speed you set to , all this without looking away from the road. The map shown on HUD is just as accurate as on phone or infotainment. I really expected better from you Biturbo , much love brother , I've been watching you everyday . Mistakes happen, keep uploading cool videos :)
One more thing you said "It is distracting" , not at all , I use it everyday. Owner's live review. It is in fact less distracting as you dont have to look away from road in any condition where you would have to. Now before buying Brezza , I was used to it , but now I feel like I'm not risking anything to get the same info while driving , you can definitely drive without HUD , people before using huds have drove for thousands of KMS too , but now you can get no risk but tiny rewards of knowing info while you drive without getting distracted.
Any aftermarket installation might lead to warranty void. All car makers should have a version with all features except SunRoof. Many will go for that version.
From my experience, I was looking at buying a new car right now. I was considering a lot of options and I ended up settling for verna for the size, manual gearbox and maintenance. I compared the SX and SX(O) which were barely different but had a difference of almost 2 lacs and I legit sat down with the brochure and went through the features one by one and ended up with the SX variant
some other features like start/stop button and electrically adjustable seats, automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers does not hold the value for money.
I have XL6 2023 base varient. It has all the necessary features along with reliable engine, comfort, big size and good mileage. Totally value for money at 13.5 lakhs on road.
Auto fold ORVMs are a better option rather than Auto adjust because we always parknin congested area and auto fold while lock is something you should have.
I have a different opinion. If your budget is say 10 lakh, then always look for top models that come in 10 lakh. No doubt, you are charged for extra money, but the fetautes that come in-built sometimes are so good and there is no match for after market things. I increased my budget from 10 lakh to 13 lakh to buy Tata Nexon, and I am happy with my decision. So my suggestions for new buyers will be - always choose a budget in which you can buy the top model of any car.
Most of the luxury cars like Audi, Merc have sunroof.. It is not normal glass and proper beam support is there in the middle. I am not expert but if it were a safety hazard cars like Volvo wont provide it.
Brother, I have respect for you. This is most useful video i have ever watched for car features and things to take note when you want to buy new or used car.❤❤❤
360 camera is a must-have. Too many dogs, kids, small curbs are out of vision. When everyone is buying SUV, the front camera would help a lot to avoid hitting kids. Rear camera should be a must for same reason. Keyless entry is ridiculously useful for women who keep keys in purse. Men can go reach in pocket and press button. Much harder for women. Opening trunk with luggage in hand is also easier with it. Auto rain sensor, auto headlights, auto lowering headlights( to avoid blinding the car in front of you) are great features to have. It improves safety. Commenting in hopes of affecting car design choices.
According to me , headsup display is logical , using Android Auto google maps , it shows the direction in which I need to turn , and this thing helps a lot while driving fast or in a traffic area !
Well tata didn't even offer manual dimming IRVM in punch base model. Had to replace with their own higher model spare part. And you cannot get electrochromic for punch because even top model only has manually adjustable one.
Using blue cut specs while driving will make you lethargic, reduce your alertness.exposure to blue light can perk up your reaction time and stimulate alertness.
2:15 Hyundai Creta has tpms, & 360° camera is also accessible incase it gets it in India, also good digital ones are expensive but provides accurate informations cause it's digital.
You said that all the features nowadays are cluttered into infotainment systems but we also get the ability of voice commands which is fairly more easier than pushing an actual button. But honestly I’m big fan of buttons and the beat place to put buttons are at the top of driver upon the roof it feels more logical to use while driving like in Mini Coopers.
I beleive you should have talked about these features also- 1. Rain Sensing wipers 2. Auto headlamps 3. Projector Headlight 4. Led Headlight 5. Gesture opening boot 6. Rear AC vents (central/piller mounted/roof mounted) 7. Fog lamps
Creta also doesn't have third seat headrest which is a negative. In fact it's the only thing missing in the car. What is the solution? Can it be fitted somehow after market?
@Biturbomedia, the following could also be addressed if you intend to make a part 2 of this video. Just a suggestion. Exterior features: Projector headlamps (LED vs Halogen) LED tail lights Connected LED strips Sequential turn indicators Alloy wheels Anti-theft tyre nuts Roof rails UV cut window glasses Interior features: SOS / Emergency calling function Seat belt pre-tensioner Seat belt height adjustment Rain sensing wipers Hydraulic vs Electric steering Physical vs Electronic Parking brake Centre armrest Seat height adjustment, Rear seat recline (in SUVs & MUVs) Soft touch materials on doors AC vent air flow adjustment (was in Fabia / Polo, currently available only in Ciaz now) Rear AC Vents Wireless charging Wireless Android Auto / Wireless Apple Carplay Auto headlights Connected car features (GPS, Remote start, In-built Alexa)
At 11:57 the situation so risky. Imagine what happens if the driver applies emergency brakes or suddenly turns the car or if there is a tree branch or something hanging. This is bad parenting. Only people like you can spread awareness.

Yes the 4th point is correct. However, the older cars had better orvms because the surface area was bigger and they provided accurate view. New ones are smaller and lack visibility.

They won't, because Indian customers like to showoff sunroof. You should say, customers should stop liking these gimmicks.

Bro kudos to you for bringing up the rear wiper point. High time car makers start recognising this as a basic necessity and safety feature. I feel this should come standard across all cars and models.
360⁰ camera is a good feature not just in SUVs but also in sedans and should be given as standard at least from mid variants. VW and skoda don't give it even in top model sedans in india.
Imo 8 sensor system is much much better. Rear camera with 4 sensors in the back and 4 in the front is enough and better than 360 camera.

Valuable video and a few youtubers pick such topics that can actually help people in Making decision while buying a car. Good video man!

Great list brither. Thanks 👍
Additionally, Auto lock when the car comes in motion is very handy. Auto central lock after 5 minutes of inactivity is important as it lets you feel safe if you've forgotten locking your car. Hill descent control does a great job and is always good to have.
Few more things that can be covered ..
* Alloy vs Steel rims
* Electronic vs Manual parking brake (handbrake)
* All disc vs Disc+Drum brakes
* Tyre size (narrow lower variant, good size, showoff size with large rims)
* Rear parking camera + sensors
* Height adjustable seats / seat-belts
Only VW & Skoda giving all 5 adjustable head restraints and all 5 passenger 5 point ELR seatbelts
Baleno fronx.......

True. Even when my family/friends travel along the ghats or other such regions, sunroof is actually a great boon

Whenever someone says there needs to be sunroof at this price that price, they don't understand that it's not Europe. I would rather pay for ventilated seats
I cannot overstate how useful this video is. Well done !
Being a MG customer i m totally satisfied with the car,
About infonmaint system , ac temp ,fan speed everything can be controllled just by voice command ,no need to use any switch or touch screen ,which works and helps all the time
And about cruiss ,adaptive cruise is working awesome as well in traffic brakes accelerators all working awesome ,just hold steering , nothing else
So i dont think voice command control of AC and other car features is a gimmick and having a big screen for maps helps a lot (with android auto or mg maps) both works awesome ❤
The way you speak in all of your video is so soothing and calm. Love watching your videos ❤️

Just like you said, for quite a few of the features like Dashcam, 360 camera, TPMS, better Infotainment system etc, you get better and cheaper alternatives from 3rd party vendors. Fast charger
Wireless charger
One touch up and down
Power windows
Fast cooling
Remote cooling (blue link)
Puddle lamps
Ambient lighting
Disk brakes (to my surprise. Some cars with drum breaks perform better than disk)
Reverse camera vs sensors vs none
Height Adjustable seat
Steering wheel shape
Dual tone (not sure why black roofs which absorbs more heat causes more money)
Boot light
Push button start
Adjustable arm rest.
Auto start stop
Hill ascent control
Hill decent control
Electric vs manual handbrake

Compulsory:
Hill descent control
Adjustable arm rest
Disk brakes ventilated
Boot light
round steering
Reverse camera
Minimum 2 reverse/front sensors
Led headlamps
Front n rear armrest
Usb charging
Aux cable
Power windows
Fast cooling
Should have added height adjustable seats in this list. Most brands don't give that even in mid variant
imo, must features:
1. auto up/down with antiPinch for all windows
2. pressure sensor for each seat (or atleast the ones that are considered for seatbelt reminder warning)
3. boot release switch in cockpit
4. boot release switch in keyfob
5. UV+IR cut glasses all around
6. middle row captain seats should also have cooling feature esp when their front seats have it (ex: Tata Safari)
7. auto dimming ORVMs esp when its IRVM has auto dimming feature
8. Request sensors on door handles for keyless entry atleast on driver+codriver+boot doors (ex: Maruti XL6)
9. If seats have electronic adjustment then it should have atleast 2 memory settings (which should also consider ORVMs & IRVM positions)
10. Boot (& engine bay) lights
11. Projector based headlights
12. Halogen over LEDs esp for foglamps
13. If headlights/etc are LEDs then inside lights should also be LEDs

Small sunroofs do help in quick heat dissipation from the cabin when parked under the sun.
Such brilliant, profound and thoughtful. These are the exact points I always debate with my friends, I personally hate the sunroof.

I live in the west . My car has a soon roof which i have almost never used . Idk why anyone in India would want the sunroof since it’s scorching .
Any aftermarket installation might lead to warranty void.
All car makers should have a version with all features except SunRoof. Many will go for that version.
Yes. True
I have hyundai accent 2009 model and i am very happy with its performance it has only one problem that power windows always stop working
Most of the luxury cars like Audi, Merc have sunroof.. It is not normal glass and proper beam support is there in the middle. I am not expert but if it were a safety hazard cars like Volvo wont provide it.

Kia by default provides panoramic with their seltos variant for the MVC. We dont have such option to not opt it
360 camera is a must-have.
Will after market device voids your warranty???
According to me , headsup display is logical , using Android Auto google maps , it shows the direction in which I need to turn , and this thing helps a lot while driving fast or in a traffic area !
Well tata didn't even offer manual dimming IRVM in punch base model. Had to replace with their own higher model spare part. And you cannot get electrochromic for punch because even top model only has manually adjustable one.
Using blue cut specs while driving will make you lethargic, reduce your alertness.exposure to blue light can perk up your reaction time and stimulate alertness.
Sedans do not have a back wiper. Aerodynamic wind cleans it maybe?
6:55 you forgot about the volume knob and physical buttons for ac controls if it's rotary dial then it will best
I think keyless entry is a good feature in terms of convenience and safety, sunroof should be opened while smoking in the car keeping all windows up.
I beleive you should have talked about these features also-
1. Rain Sensing wipers
2. Auto headlamps
3. Projector Headlight
4. Led Headlight
5. Gesture opening boot
6. Rear AC vents (central/piller mounted/roof mounted)
7. Fog lamps
I don't think HUD is unnecessary.... it's just cheaper version on Suzuki... When on Well Designed Car you will find it useful
Finally someone spoke about muscle memory for having buttons. Good point.
Creta also doesn't have third seat headrest which is a negative. In fact it's the only thing missing in the car. What is the solution? Can it be fitted somehow after market?
